I read your slated trilogy in 2 days so they are definitely books I love lol. I work in a high school library so I read a large variety of books, often I am reading them for age suitability to decide which year groups can borrow them, it make a nice change when I do this and I find not only did I enjoy the book but I LOVED it and want to read more by the same author. I like books with a gripping story and character I can relate to genre is no so important. Unnecessary bad language or graphic sexual scenes especially when characters are young annoy me as they can change a book from being one I can highly recommend pupils to purchase into a no go territory. (Slated has it just right gripping enough for the older pupils with hints of more without containing any that would cause me to have to restrict who I could recommend it to :) )

A well written book! I like fantasy and dystopia most! Interesting characters, exciting plot, good writing and so on makes all the difference in a book!
Your Slated trilogy is one of my favourite dystopias
Lydia (Sunday, 15 February 2015 12:44)
I'm definitely all about fantasy in general, but I try not to limit myself by genre because some of my favourite books have been ones I've not expected to like. Right now though, I am mostly into dystopias though, there's just something really intriguing about them, that I can't quite put my finger on!
Ellie Lemke (Sunday, 15 February 2015 11:13)
For some strange reason, I like dystopian books the best, it reminds me the world could be worse!
Catherine (Sunday, 15 February 2015 11:11)

I had just decided to pick up slated as it sounded like similar books I had read before, it had tension, excitement, adventure & suspense. I was glad to have read it, I would wait forever until the next books were out, & when they were I was disappointed. I will read any kind of book given to me or challenged to as books are what keep me going.
Maya (Thursday, 12 February 2015 19:12)
I picked up Slated rather randomly while I was browsing WHSmith around Christmas time and found in the premise to be slightly interesting. I started reading it a few weeks back and I was just hooked and am now waiting for the others in the series to arrive. YA really is my weakness to be honest. Probably because I am 16? Anything in the YA genre really just interests me especially Dystopian/Post-Apocalypse.

I finished Shattered last night, and I'm currently experiencing the bookworm blues. I fell in love with the Slated Trilogy from the first few pages, it is one of my favourite series, and I read a lot, like a couple of books a week. My favourite kind of book is one with a well developed mystery, a bit of romance and 3D characters, the genre isn't really the main thing for me. I am also a lover of series and have read multiple over the years, but Slated is definitely up the top! I loved your style of writing and thought Slated was really well crafted and everything fit perfectly into place! I am super excited for the release of Mind Games, it would be a bonus to be able to win a copy, but I'll be reading it anyway!
Ellie Mackereth (Thursday, 12 February 2015 01:56)
I absolutey loved reading the Slated trilogy and I can't wait to read more books from you, starting with Mind Games! Recently I have been sharing all my books with two of my friends (Yes, slated was the favorite for all of us) and it got me thinking about what kind of books I like to read and it seems that all the books I really get into are dystopian; about a world and society where its all about keeping up the appearance of peace and harmony, when in fact, morals and values have been compromised to keep this appearance.
Jules (Thursday, 12 February 2015 01:23)
I went to see your book signing event in Edinburgh with my school whenot Slated first came out. I got my copy signed and I absolutely love it. I have my friends hooked on the series and I can't wait to read the last book!I'm in love with YA books just now and I particularly like anything dystopian.
marcie (Wednesday, 11 February 2015 19:19)
I adore your books and started a craze in my group of friends at school about the "Slated" series. As a young adult (15) I read different books to the majority of my age group. To be honest I will read anything I can get my hands on but to have a soft spot for period drama (Tudors are my favourite and history is my passion), plays such as the Crucible are major inspiration for my own writing but I also love anything odd or not of the popular nature of todays reading. I also love classics and anything dystopian :)
Linda Rumsey (Monday, 09 February 2015 23:39)
I read all sorts. Thrillers, YA, Historical depending on my mood. Looking forward to reading Mind Games!
Charnell (Monday, 09 February 2015 19:38)
I used to read a balanced mix of adult and young adult book. But now I mostly read YA, about 90-95% YA. My favourite genres within that are probably fantasy, contemporary and dystopian. But I like to read a mix of everything.
Kerry (Monday, 09 February 2015 19:25)
Can't wait for this book. And I love reading anything young adult :)
Adelle (Thursday, 05 February 2015 13:42)
I'm so, so excited for the release of Mind Games!!! If the book is anything like the Slated Trilogy, no doubt I'll have it read by the end of the day :) I love mystery, crime, dystopian, sci-fi and action books but above all my favourite genre is adventure.
Paige (Tuesday, 03 February 2015 23:44)
My perfect book can pretty much be summed up in your Slated series-- I absolutely loved it! It was so engaging. I like books that are original, descriptive, and imaginative without going over the top. That usually includes mysteries, fantasy, and dystopian novels (sometimes with a bit of romance). I *cannot* wait until MInd Games comes out. I've been counting down the days!
Rastislav (Tuesday, 03 February 2015 18:40)
For me as a reader it doesn't matter what genre the book is written in. What matter is the feeling I have while reading the book and how great the characters are. Especialy the main character. Plus it's really important for the book to have a plot twist... and I love long stories (series), but not too long. I think a thrilogy is perfect. Slated trilogy has all of this, thats why it's my favorite series that I've read... Cannot wait for Mind Games. Those two chapters you have released were just amazing!
Michelle Eckerle (Tuesday, 03 February 2015 18:31)
I love reading all types of books, but my favorite are dystopian and mystery/fantasy. I was a little obsessed with the Slated trilogy and was so excited to hear about Mind Games! I enjoy authors such as, Amanda Hocking, Veronica Roth, and Michelle Hodkin.

I absolutely love sci-fi and dystopian books, they keep you on edge and always full of action, and this leads to one of the reasons why I fell in love with your books but not only that but with the unique and intriguing idea :)

Natacha Germán (Tuesday, 27 January 2015 11:05)
I try to read all kinds of books because you can find so many different things out there that I don't want to miss any of it. But, if I could only read one kind of books for the rest of my life, I think I'd choose YA/NA books. Even better if there's a bit of science fiction/fantasy in it... :)
(Also, very nice vlog you did there! ;))
